COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (July 3, 2012) Yellow Cab Company of Colorado Springs (Part of the Veolia transportation On Demand family) is pleased to offer delivery services to those in the community that would like to donate goods to Care and Share but are unable to leave their homes or make it to one of the donation drop-off locations. Through the delivery program, citizens can call Yellow Cab at (719)777-7777 to request a pickup and call takers will dispatch cabs to residences and businesses to pick-up the goods free of charge. “Yellow Cab has been a strong part of this community since 1922”, said Fred Hair, General Manager. “We stand strong behind this community and we will make any effort we can to help those who have been affected by the Waldo Fire tragedy”.

YELLOW CAB COMPANY OF COLORADO SPRINGS LAUNCHES WHEELCHAIR ACCESIBLE TAXIS
We are pleased to provide this service to the Pikes Peak Region
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (February 10, 2012) Yellow Cab Company of Colorado Springs is pleased to announce the addition of wheelchair accessible vehicles to its fleet of 150 taxicabs. The first Mobility Plus vehicle will be a Ford TransConnect and will be available to the public the week of February 13th with additional vehicles following in the coming months.

For over eight decades, Yellow Cab Company has been your hometown ride and a cornerstone business in Colorado Springs; a vital part of the community, supporting the city and its residents as more than just a ride, but an advocate in the city’s development, sustainability and growth by participating in community events showcasing its lifestyle, and all it represents.
We partner with McDivitt Law Firm on New Year’s Eve, Cinco De Mayo, St. Patrick’s Day, and Halloween to assist in the fight against drunk driving. Since 2007, McDivitt has helped keep nearly 5,000 drunken drivers off the road. We are proud to be a team player for such a wonderful cause.
Here at Yellow Cab, we believe in doing our part to help keep the community safe and protected, which is why we partnered with the Colorado Springs Police Department in March of 2010 to launch the Cabs on Patrol (COP) program. Our drivers log about 7 million miles each year and with that much time on the road, our drivers are always looking out for the citizens of this community. With the COP program, drivers work directly with dispatch and the CSPD to report suspicious activity. In the past, cab drivers in Colorado Springs have helped locate robbery suspects, stopped vehicle theft, and alerted law enforcement officers to unruly behavior. In addition to partnering on the COP program, we are also proud to provide corporate sponsorship to the annual Colorado Springs Police Department’s Medal of Valor Luncheon.
We also support the Baby’s First Ride program through Memorial Hospital; where first-time parents can bring their newborns home free of charge.
This is a key addition to the services offered by Yellow Cab in helping serve the community. Yellow Cab Company Proud to be Sponsor at Thanks Troops Golf Tournament-August 5th, 2011
Yellow Cab Company was proud to be a golf hole sponsor at the 2011 Thanks Troops Foundation's Annual Golf Tournament. The Thanks Troops Foundation assists active duty military and veterans, who have sustained a combat related injury, by providing access to recreational activities and equipment that encourages community involvement and inspires them to regain an active life. We were proud to sponsor hole # 7 on the course at Valley Hi Golf Club. Over 256 golfers were registered for the tournament and it was a beautiful day to celebrate active duty military and veterans! Yellow Cab thanks the men & women of all military branches for their dedicated service.
Yellow Cab Company Enjoys Busy Saturday at 2010 Pikes Peak Eco Festival-August 28th, 2010
Yellow Cab Company of Colorado Springs was on hand to support the Pikes Peak Eco Festival on Saturday, August 28th at Rock Ledge Ranch. We were proud to showcase our colorful Toyota Prius Hybrid to the public! The Director of Marketing and the driver of the Prius were on hand to answer questions, hand out goodies, and raise awareness of Yellow Cab's efforts to support a cleaner fleet of taxis. Yellow Cab Company shows support at annual Colorado Balloon Classic-September 4-6th, 2010
Yellow Cab was excited to be a part of the annual Labor Day Weekend Colorado Balloon Classic for the first time this year. We enjoyed great Colorado Fall weather (except for one windy day!) and we were fortunate to meet and visit with many great people over the course of the 3 day celebration. Once again, Yellow Cab Company partnered with the Southern Colorado Clean Cities Coalition to share a booth and share information on alternative fuel choices with the public.
